Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

YouGamePlay ("the Service", "we") is a daily arcade of original mini-games, operated as an independent indie project. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can have it deleted. Contact: mete@metekamil.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address, your chosen username, the country you pick for your leaderboard flag, your avatar/color choices, and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).

Facebook sign-in. If you sign up or log in with Facebook, we receive your Facebook user ID, your name, and (if you grant it) your email address from Facebook. We store the Facebook user ID to link your Facebook account to your YouGamePlay account, and use the name and email only to create the account. We never receive your Facebook password, friend list, or posts, and we never post to Facebook on your behalf.

Gameplay and community data. Your game scores, daily-bonus streaks, votes for the Daily Trio, friend links, trophies, and any per-game feedback you send us are stored so the Service can work as described — leaderboards, profiles, and the Hall of Winners display your username, country flag, and scores publicly.

Technical data. A session cookie keeps you logged in, and small browser-storage entries remember preferences like theme and sound. The Service uses Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and collects usage data under Google's privacy policy. Our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses as part of serving and securing the site.

3. How we use it

We use your information solely to operate the Service: authenticating you, displaying your scores and rank, computing weekly results and trophies, sending transactional email (signup confirmation, password reset — with an unsubscribe for anything that isn't security-related), and moderating abuse. We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties except the service providers that run the Service (hosting, email delivery, analytics).

4. Data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time — see the data deletion page for instructions. If you signed in with Facebook, you can also trigger deletion from your Facebook settings (Settings & Privacy → Apps and Websites → YouGamePlay → Remove), which automatically unlinks and removes the data we received from Facebook.

5. Requests from public authorities

If we receive a request from a government agency, law-enforcement body, or other public authority for a user's personal data, we: (1) review each request to confirm it is legally valid and properly scoped before responding; (2) disclose only the minimum information necessary to comply with a valid request; and (3) keep a record of each request received, our response, and the legal basis involved. Where a request appears overbroad or legally deficient, we will seek to narrow or object to it before disclosing data, to the extent the law allows.

6. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
